To be honest, its now September as I’m writing this. SOOO much has happened to keep me busy these last three weeks. I was playing a bit of media-catchup then, and it seems I’m still doing so now. But summer is ending and we’re leaning into fall’s cool weather so I will post life since then and commit to being better about updating from now on.
If pictures had playlists this one would be one hell of a mixtape.
Silver linings of Covid-19 – Yard parties! I love that the “norm” now is to gather with friends and have a sweet open air evening of shared dishes and warm light.
What a beautiful group.
Bethany came over with bagels and a bushel of tomatoes this morning. She taught me her brilliant technique of buying ripe summertime tomatoes and roasting them to perfection before freezing them for the winter! How brilliant is she! I now will have the best harvest all year round.
Tonight I hosted Chrissy, Ems, and Corey at the mansion for a not so traditional polenta party to celebrate the gorgeous couples forecasted nuptials. What a strange sentence I know, but nothing is certain in these strange times. Here’s to January 2022 in NZ I’m so happy to have you special friends in my world. Minnesota is sad to lose you.
Today was one of those days were all the electronic were against me, and everything went just well enough that I had no real reason to complain. It started off beautiful and ended beautifully so all in between will just be counted as user error.
We made the somewhat topsides sushi feast you’re looking at, and I have got to say we were pretty proud of our success!
