July 7th feels like a good date for your first bee sting, doesn’t it?

We told William that he is very lucky to now know that he is not allergic to bee stings and never has to be afraid of bees again.. somehow this logic worked to soothe his pain.

Happy Birthday to one of the best bullfrog big brothers I’ve ever had the privilege to watch grow up. I love you soooo very much Jeremiah Jay, thank you for making me a Tanto, thank you for loving your family so well and than you for being great example to the rest of our Band of Merry Men & Women.

This one is a few days late but earlier this weekend I had the privilege of celebrating my friend Walter’s 4/28th  birthday.

Naturally I made him a line art portrait and put it in a vintage aged-glass frame. I hope his masters hang it and don’t think I’m that weird.

It was not a very red, white, and blue holiday in our home this year. Liz came to the cities to join us for a viewing of HAMILTON, which was sooo  spectacular.

We played hide and seek with the kiddos, helped Rachel study for her Foreign Service Exam and ended the day watching “The Manchurian Candidate” which still somehow felt fairly patriotic.  We missed the fireworks and garden traditions but kept our spirits high.
