This month I’m committing my time and energy to writing, painting and learning Spanish.

I’m really lucky to have the talented friends I have. This photographer I know also happens to be a master gardener, a talented holistic practitioner and one of my dearest friends. I spent the entire day in the bounty of her yard and presence.
I love my sweet Michelle.
Back home after a truly lovely, hopefully life changing escape.
Thought I would get a jump on my July goals and start trying to learn Spanish through cinema immersion.
If you ever need a good road trip partner, call up my sister Elisabeth. She has a true love of the oblong and curious sites the road has to offer.
We came to visit the corn palace with our family 10 years ago, and it was no question we were turning off when we saw its exit advertised again this year!
Sorry I had to revert to cell phone photos here. Batteries we’re running low and we had spent most of the day caravanning with a friend towards Mount Rushmore and the Badlands. We were originally going to take the (more quick) North route home, but I’m so happy Jaime changed our minds. We camped under the South Dakota stars this evening and saw a beautiful sunset in the badlands.
I tried a new invention, “campfire grilled cheese”. I thought it a 5 out of 10 on the Kaveesh scale, but my audience was far kinder to the chef.
It is extremely challenging to pick just one photo to define each day of this trip, because we fit so much differing beauty into each morning and evening. So instead I dedicate this whole post to Grand Teton National Park and all the days we spent in that beautiful wilderness.
Those mountains were glorious, and Jackson Hole was the perfect little town. Hiking around (and In) lake Jenny was also a treat with our new special friends. I have never loved an American city more than I do Jackson Wyoming. Thats where memories will last a life time. I’m so happy we decided to extend our trip to stay a night in a bougie downtown hotel and then one further to hike with friends at Gran Ventre. I hope I never forget our nights under those stars!
