I have taken on the task of teaching these crazy tykes how to read..
Wish me luck. Tanto’s camp happens now three days a week from 10-1. Asher pays me in homemade lunches and very creative compliments. William pays me in painted pictures, active listening, and continued eagerness.
But lets take a quick beat to talk about my sister Rachel, HOW LUCKY AM I?! This woman invites me not only to love and be loved by her precious children, but she invites me into the experience of growing, teaching and stewarding them. What a treasure.
I got to see one of my sweetest friends today after 7 long weeks.
I hugged her knees because it was so hard not to embrace. I am so constantly honored by her friends. Love you Michelle.
Do you know anyone else who’s smile can shine through a mask like that?!
Fascinated by the light streaming through the window. My mother has nicknamed Adrienne “Bliss” because she is all wonder and cheer.
She is also terribly testing and naughty in all the right ways. She’s going to be such a fun life long friend. I’m so privileged to be her Tanto.
Another Sunday knitting in bed. I need to stay in town rather than be with my momma this mothers day. Fortunately I made the right call as I got a call from my client around 6 in the evening that she was going into labor and about to become a Mother on this celebrated day!
What an absolutely perfect gift! Photographing birth is one of my FAVORITE types of shoot, its the privilege of being witness to an absolute miracle.
I had the nephew’s over for a day with their Tanto. We ate all the cereal we could stomach, watched two movies, made a Mother’s Day craft, played hide and seek and devoured Mac & Cheese and Sour Candy for dinner.
It was a perfect day, though we all ended it with belly aches.
